31 Days of Vulture Culture – Day 3
3) Antler selfie! (or whatever bones you want)
Not bones… and yeah, this isn’t a NEW picture – I’ve since straightened out my beard more than a little (yeah, I know it’s a bit lopsided), but as I don’t feel like taking a new picture today, this is what you get. 😛
That’s Guardian in the background, my lovely coyote shoulder mount done by my friend Katie of Diamond Dust Taxidermy. He was a gift, and I love him a lot. He sits in his place of honor behind me at my desk, gazing out the window beside me.
Some day I’m going to have both the money and the time (at the same time) to get a nice unfinished birch slab to attach his faux rock base to, so he doesn’t have to be pinned between a large dictionary and a repurposed monitor stand in order to remain upright. But I haven’t gotten around to that yet, so he’ll remain where he is – dictionary and all.
And that’s it for day 3!
